Summary
Aquaman, also known as Arthur Curry, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. In the Post-Flashpoint timeline, Arthur is a half-human, half-Atlantean born to his queen mother Atlanna but raised in Amnesty Bay by his human father Tom Curry. Upon the death of his father, Arthur discovers his true heritage, falls in love with the water sorceress Mera, and eventually takes his rightful place as King of Atlantis. Aquaman was created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger and debuted in More Fun Comics #73 in 1941.
