First of all, scaling.
Since the tree is mostly bare, I'm going to have to assume it's species. Since you can see a small bit of foilage on it, I'll assume it's a Callery pear tree. Callery pear is the third most common tree in NY, which I think Gotham is based off of anywho so it make sense. If anyone has any better suggestion, feel free to let me know.
The trees can grow up to 5-8 meters tall, so I'll be using 6.5 as a mid end.

DC: Some FTL "Combat Speed" Feats

- 11: Superman VS Kryptonite Man
Spoiler:So, Superman deflects 3 rounds of kryptonite radiation waves simultaneously fired by Kryptonite Man mid-fight. Figured this would yield interesting results
Using 6.5 heads tall, Superman is 191 cm tall so we get a head height of 29.3846154 cm 372 / 42 = 8.85714286
8.85714286 * 29.3846154 = 260.263736 cm or 2.60263736 meters moved
The radiation couldn't move about a centimeter or so, so....

2.60263736 / 3.33564095e-11 = 7.80251052e10 m/s or 260.263736c so yeah, yet another MFTL combat speed for Supes #12: Karate Kid VS Mon-El

Green Lantern FTL Feats
Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner are capable of flying to the edge of the universe in just 10 hours, while their rings are on standby mode. I.E, this is far from their greatest flight capacity.
Feat was already calculated:
https://forums.hero-academia.com/xfa-blog-entry/green-lantern-cruising-speed.17641/
The resulting speed was 40,734,000,000,000c
In this feat, Green Lantern Kyle Rayner crosses over 10 Lightyears in a very short timeframe by driving a construct Car. As this was done with immense casualness, and as it was a vehicle he'd need to manually drive it (And indeed, you can see that he does fancy spins and such with the energy trail), this would naturally scale to his Reaction Speed as well as flight.
This feat was already calculated:

Green Lantern's True Cruising Speed
In the well-defined feat calculated by me to determine how fast the Green Lanterns are, I believe he presumably used the observable universe as we know it in the real world (an honest assumption without the supporting evidence of the DC universe's size as stated below).
However, with this evidence as well as the fact that the Guardians have charted all 3600 sectors of the universe, it is proof that the Green Lanterns' true cruising speed is...
Final Tally:
100 trillion light years per 10 hours = 8.7658128e+16 c
(87.6 quadrillion times faster than light)
High Templar revision calc
It only takes 300 megajoules to vaporize a human as opposed to 3 Gigajoules; which is actually the energy required to atomize a human.
Taking that new formula, 300 MJ * 4 = 1.2 Gigajoules of energy or 1,200,000,000/4,184,000 = 286.8 kilograms of TNT equivalent. Building level or 8-C. Still a lowball, but this will scale to the fodder tiers again; Marines, Hydralisks, Zealots, Zerglings AP, ect.
Note: Might be late, but apparently, Psionic Storm is atomization and the old calc might be applicable after all.

Average Surface Destruction
In this blog I will be calculating the minimum energy needed to destroy the surface of the Earth.
Earth's circumference = 40075 km
Explosion radius = 20037.50 km
Y = ((x/0.28)^3)
Y is in teratons, x is radius in kilometers.
Y = ((20037.50/0.28)^3)/1000000000 = 366485.26 Teratons of TNT
Only 50% of the total energy of the explosion is actually from the blast, so we need to halve the result. This part can be ignored if the blast was an actual nuclear explosion.
Y = 366485.26/2 = 183242.63 Teratons of TNT
Average Surface Destruction = 183.24 Petatons of TNT (Multi-Continent level)
This scales to characters who have stated that they can destroy the surface of the planet, like Lord Boros
Standard Calculation for shaking the Earth
While this was originally a calc to determine the new tiers for Mortal Kombat God Tiers, this is something that can be applied to any feat of shaking the entire Earth. So, without any more trouble, let's dive in.
- 1 Radiated Waves
- 2 Total Seismic Energy
- 3 Note
- 4 List of all other magnitudes of Earthquakes for reference
- 4.1 Radiated Waves
- 4.2 Total Seismic Energy
This method assumes that all they're doing is causing the Earth to quake via sheer brute Force. This is what is usually used for the standard Earthquake feat, but, if there's sufficient evidence they're also moving the plates via magic or sheer rule of cool, you can move to the next section.
Either way, first we'll need to determine the kind of magnitude needed to cause the entire Earth to quake.…
General Calc: Door Busting

- 3 Tally
Did this a while back off-site, someone asked me to redo it here. Basically, this applies whenever a character says "eyyy lmao ur door is broke" and destroys a relatively normal door. Note that in certain circumstances, another calc should be done- if the door is clearly much larger then this is inaccurate, this works for doors of relatively standard size.
Standard size for a door is 203.2 cm tall, 91.44 cm wide, and 3.334 cm thick.

Nightside: John Taylor tosses a boi
So, basically, the premise is that our main boi, John Taylor throws a thing against the wall hard enough to break the bones of a living man, IE, he basically just threw something with the force to straight up break someone.
So, with that in mind, how to quantify? Well, with the powers of my bro Bambu on a certain sister site, it's easy.
So, what we need to do is find the weight of a man's bones. On average, that would be 15% of their body mass, which inof itself is 88.768027 Kilograms. 15% of that is 13.31520405 Kilograms.
The density of bone is 3.88 grams per CM Cubed, which would mean that the total volume would be 13.31520405 divided by .00388, which equals 3431.75362113402 Cubic CM for our volume.
To get the fragmentation values, we need t…

Archie Sonic is known for being a very fast character more precisely for having walked through the universe in one day and the multiverse in two days ... However this as well as much of the feats of Sonic The Hedgehog is a great distortion of the facts that does not treat the feats in the right way. So I'm starting to blog Sonic The Hedgehog to try to help the franchise in the same way I did with Digimon. And of course nothing better than starting these blogs than talking about the speed of the character so I will calculate the best feat of Sonic, a great trip through the Cosmic Interstate.

Lucifer Processes Information
In this scene, Lucifer Morningstar processes the universe's 20,000,000,000 Year history in the blink of an eye. Now, I know Lucifer is 1-A and thus Irrelevant in speed, but this is being done for the fun of it.
I'll assume Lucifer's blinking lasted 100 miliseconds, or 0.1 seconds.
20,000,000,000 billion years is 6.31138519e17 seconds.
Now, how to do this?

Ben 10 Baseball speed calc
Alright, so I will be trying to calc this feat today.
It seems that XRL8 moved from third base to somewhere in the outfield before the baseball could move even a little bit.
However, given that the gif above likely comes from 2 clips and that XLR8 was actually moving from the stands to the baseball field everytime he did this kind of stunt, this may be a lowball.
But let's do some scaling nonetheless.
Baseball Field:
Size of line to third base to barely into outfield: 635 pixels = 42.75 meters
Size of given 27.4m line: 407 pixels
Size of line from home base to barely into outfield: 597 pixels = 40.19 meters
For the ball's movement during this time period, seeing as it didn't really seem to shift at all, I will use the lowest possible measure f…

The position of the Incursean Conquest Ship is unknown, at one point in the episode it was said that they would search the nearest habitable planet, in this case Earth.
I think it's possible to think that the spacecraft is closer to t…

This is going to be a lot of math and walls of text. We now have a new GBE formula for stars to use, and as such any value at or above High 5-A will need to be recalculated. The following is a thorough explanation of how the results are reached, the math itself, and the new chart. Here we go.
The two principles needed to be understood here are GBE, Gravitational Binding Energy, and Inverse Square Law.
1. GBE: Gravitational binding energy is the energy needed to completely disperse a celestial body. If GBE is broken, the partic…
Defining Tiers: Street, Athlete, and Wall levels
In a thread, the validity of our thresholds for Athlete, Street, and Wall level were questioned. At the time, they were
Athlete level: 100 - 200 Joules
Street level: 200 - 5000 Joules
Wall level: 5000 - 20920000 Joules
However, after some deliberation, we came to the conclusion that these values were inaccurate, and poorly reflect our conceptions of what these levels are intended to actually look like, in practice. So, we developed new thresholds-
Athlete level: 100 - 300 Joules
Street level: 300 - 15000 Joules
Wall level: 15000 - 20920000 Joules
To explain these thresholds,
Athlete level: Our old threshold of 200 Joules to reach Street level seemed too low, as did 150 Joules to reach Athlete level+, as that would make the "average" Athlete in the …
The Earth's rotational energy
The formula of the rotational energy is K= 1/2* Ι*ω^2
The moment of inertia of a sphere is 2/5mR^2
The Earth's angular velocity is 7.3*10^-5 rad/s
Earth's Mass = 5.97e24 kg
Earth's radius = 6372000 m
Κ = 1/2*Ι*ω^2 = 1/5 * m*R^2 *ω^2 = 2.58e29 Joules (Moon level)
Freeze someone alive
This is kind of a rough calc because I found close to no "extra information" about it.
Well, this calc is based on Sub-Zero's ice blast
The chars take around a second to be frozen. So, that's the time.
The heat capacity of a human being is 3500 J/kg.K
Let's say the temperature is room temperature. 23 Celsius.
The character being frozen is Jacque Briggs, let's say she is 50 kilograms.
Lowball: For someone to get frostbite, the temperature has to go down to -4 Celsius. 23+4 = 27.
The formula is: E=m*c*ΔT
So: E=50*3500*27
I get: 4,725,000 joules or, 1.129 kilograms of TNT.
Wall level
That is the energy required to freeze someone alive... but without taking into account the time, so the value must be far higher considering they freeze in one second.

Rough Calc, Vaporization for a human
So our value for vaporization of a human is 2.99 gigajoules based off of this
https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/but-not-simpler/excerpts-from-the-mad-scientiste28099s-handbook-so-youe28099re-ready-to-vaporize-a-human/
One thing, it states this
That is a problem, that is atomization. So I will do a rough calc on the vaporization of a human being.
Here are some conditions
- I admit I am still new to being a calc group member and still need to learn some more advanced methods such as converting molar heat capacity to joules per kilogram, so I took the short road at points
- Latent Heat can be hard to find, plus most of the numbers come in molar heat. However, the addition latent heat adds usually is not big enough the change the overall result great…
Explosion Radius/Area
People were asking what are the requirements for an explosion to reach town or City level, so the aim of this blog is to find the area (near-total fatalities) that an explosion should cover to reach certain AP tier. Using the formula from page's blog, R = Y^(1/3)*0.28, where Y is the yield in kilotons and R the radius in km, so that:
- Yield*2 ==> Radius*2^(1/3) = Radius*1.26
- Yield*5 ==> Radius*5^(1/3) = Radius*1.71
- Yield*10 ==> Radius*10^(1/3) = Radius*2.1544
Since the calculator didn't give results below 1 kiloton, the above would be useful; using these lists I'll find the required area.
These values can only be used whe the detonation has a nuclear origin. See Explosion Yield Calculations for more information.

Energy to destroy matter of the observable universe
- 1 Introduction
- 2 Low End
- 3 High End
- 4 Conclusion
We want to calculate the value required to destroy all regular matter (in other words, excluding antimatter, dark matter, dark energy and exotic matter) of the observable universe. To do this, we will be assuming a celestial object at the edge of the observable universe, and calculating the energy of a center-originating omni-directional blast, required to destroy said celestial object.
Energy Formulas used:
- GBE = 0.6 x G(M^2)/R
- G = Universal gravitational constant
- M is mass of the celestial object in kilograms
- R is radius of object in metres
- Energy to destroy using a center-originating omni-directional blast = GBE x 4(π)(A/R)2
- R is radius of object to be destroyed
- A is distance from center point of blast
As…
Attack Potency - Solar System to Multi-Galaxy level with variables
Ok, there will 1 variable in this calcs.
The variable will be that one time I will use the GBE of the sun asI get it using the formula and one time I will use the one used on wikipedia (which is either more precise or incorrect). (Look here for slightly better explantation why I am uncertain about this one)
Short explanation on frontal area: Just for whoever rechecks this calculations, the frontal area of a planet is calculate as the circle with its radius, so in other words π*r^2. It is not the surface area or half the surface area, because what matters isn't the area of the planet that takes the energy, but the area of the front of the "energy wave / explosion" that hits the planet. Since that is pretty much a wall the area is just a circ…

Surviving a fall from low Earth orbit
So we want to calculate how much durability one would need to survive a fall from Low Earth orbit.
Low Earth orbit starts at 160km.
We will assume that a human like creature falls and that it starts at rest.
For the weight of the creature I will assume 60 kg.
The whole energy of the fall comes from the gravitational potential energy. So we know that in total the kinetic energy on impact can not be higher than the initial gravitational potential energy.
The potential energy is given by the formula GMm/r_1 - GMm/r_2, where M is the mass of earth, m is the mass of the object falling, r_1 is the initial distance from the center of the earth and r_2 is the final distance from the center of the earth. G is the gravitational constant.
Radius of earth i…
Durability required to resist the heat of the sun
I will try to calculate the durability required to survive inside the sun. For that I will try to determine the heat radiated from the star and the heat that is transmitted through conduction. I will also do one calculation for surviving just under the surface and one for surviving in the core of the sun.
1. Radiation: For radiation we need to know the emissivity, surface area and temperature.
The temperature of the sun is about 5500°C per Wikipedia.
For the surface area we take the surface of the average human body, since we assume that the person is submerged in the sun. The average body surface area is about 1.73 m^2 per this article.
The emissivity is about 1.2 at this temperature per this article.
Now we input this values into this calcula…

Our current Striking Strength system is inaccurate and flawed.
We unfortunately inherited the current system from the previous wiki management, and given that thousands of profiles abide by it at this point, it would take an enormous amount of work to systematically check and revise the pages.
As such, we held off from revising the system. However, almost everybody is free in the next two months due to summer, and hence the revision will happen soon. The revised system which will be put into effect is listed below.
Following the same convention as Attack Potency, a "+" sign is used as "Mountain Class+", not "Mountain+ Class".
