Summary
In a search for attention, Basil Karlo spent several years attempting to become an accomplished actor to no avail. Disappointed in his lack of success he turned to working for the crime boss Penguin, who gave him a special clay that once powered the grounds of a Navajo tribe in return. The clay overtook and rewrote his entire body, turning him into Clayface.
