Summary
Knockout used to be a student of Granny Goodness. She aspired to be a member of the Female Furies, but when her idol Big Barda left Apokolips, she was motivated to do the same. Granny noticed the change on her behaviour and chained her as punishment. Eventually, she broke her chains and jumped into a pit of fire to set herself free. A Boom Tube opened beneath her and she fell on Hawaii. Knockout tried to build a new life as an exotic dancer named Kay. After witnessing Superboy's heroic actions on TV, she decided to commit a crime to get his attention and fight him, just for the thrills. While donning her Apokoliptian attire, she defeated Superboy for the whole town to see. Knockout came back to her regular work, but it didn't last long, as she got the attention of powerful people, such as Amanda Waller and Lex Luthor, and was recruited for several supervillain teams like Suicide Squad and the Secret Society.
