Samuel Alexander also known as Nova is a fictional character/superhero published by Marvel Comics, created by the writer Jeph Loeb and the artist Ed McGuiness. He is introduced as the last and sole member of the inter-galactic police force , the Nova Corps, after donning the helmet of his missing father. He first appeared in the Marvel Point One one-shot before appearing in his first solo series in 2013.

- Energy Generation: Nova can channel the Nova Force and expel the energy in the form of extremely powerful concussive blasts that he often uses in combat situations. A few of the abilities he has shown are, the ability to manipulate the Nova Force to create hyperspace portals in space such as Space Gates, to project force fields, and in conjunction with the Xandarian Worldmind the Nova Force he is able to create convincing hard light constructs. Something unique of his powers that separate him from other members of the Nova Corps is that his energy is self-replenishing and is somehow capable of using telekinesis.
- Xandarian Worldmind: Aside from housing the Nova Force, Sam also carries the remnants of the Nova Corps' Xandarian Worldmind, as such through the device Sam is bestowed a plethora of unique attributes through its usage.The Worldmind is a sentient collective created to govern and maintain all forms of Xandarian culture. The Worldmind contains all knowledge collected by the Xandarian people including art, science, history, and philosophy. Sam can access any aspect of this technology by communicating with the Worldmind verbally or mentally.
