Summary
Yugoslav spy Zebediah Killgrave was on a mission to infiltrate an American military chemical refinery to steal an experimental new nerve gas when he was spotted by a guard who shot at him, but missed and hit a canister of the gas instead. The fumes sprayed all over Killgrave, turning his skin purple, and when he easily convinces the guards to let him go, he realizes he also gained the power to secrete pheromones that drain the will of his target until they follow his every command. Zebediah started using his powers to commit nefarious acts, working as a supervillain with the title of the Purple Man.
